WATERLOO HAS HEART

We developed this platform to celebrate how service-minded people living in Waterloo, Illinois are devoting their time, talents, and hearts to their neighbors. We also hope to connect volunteers to service opportunities.

This website will highlight Waterloo's service ethic, turning beautiful narratives of compassion, empathy and service into compelling metrics. Such information is valuable, for example, in Waterloo's consideration for the Governor's Hometown Award for the recent StoryWalk installation at Morrison-Talbott Library by Eagle Scout Ethan Ellis
We invite you to log your community service hours. As a way to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the National Day of Service, please share the ways in which you serve your community. Individuals, service organizations, faith groups, civic and social groups are also encouraged to share their service opportunities here.
Waterloo, Illinois is one of 280 cities across the nation that belong to the Cities of Service Coalition. Member cities are eligible for training, grants, and other support to help identify and solve critical public problems. Mayor Tom Smith serves as Waterloo's representative in the Coalition.
