Service
Ethan Ellis worked collaboratively with the City of Waterloo and Morrison-Talbott Library to create the StoryWalk installation as his Eagle Scout service project. The StoryWalk provides an opportunity for the community to enjoy a story while walking the grounds of the library, and promotes early literacy, physical activity, and family time together outdoors. The support of many local organizations made the installation possible.
The StoryWalk serves as the basis of the City of Waterloo's consideration for the Governor's Hometown Awards. The Governor’s Hometown Awards formally recognizes projects that improve the quality of life in their community. Read more about Ethan's work in this Republic Times article and on the library's Facebook page.
